Carnitas Uruapan has created a successful brand story, featured in a variety of media outlets, including The Food Network, VICE, and The Cooking Channel by consistently making sure the family recipe remains true to its Mexican heritage, unmodified for the American market in any way

The Brief:

We were invited by the founder's son, a business-minded artist, to create merchandise that would bring customers to their restaurant and market the streets with their name. 

The Approach: 

The founder's original marketing tactics, characterized by a casual and humorous approach, served as the catalyst for this collection. Drawing inspiration from the timeless Mexican mural art prevalent in our native Pilsen and similar communities, where self-taught artists proudly promote their establishments, we blend these influences with our street-wear essence and fashion-forward design. The result is a harmonious cross-collaboration between Carnitas Uruapan and Gente Fina, a perfect recipe that captures the essence of both brands.
